DR. SALEEL JIVRAJ

Dr. Sal Jivraj was born in London UK and completed his Optometry degree at Aston University School of Optometry. He served as Vice-President of the Aston Optometry Society.

Dr. Jivraj moved to Canada and completed his studies at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry. Dr. Jivraj has a wide experience working in hospital eye clinics in the UK to private practice medical clinics and group clinics in Canada. Dr. Jivraj is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists, and is licensed to prescribe oral and topical medications for the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Jivraj has given talks to senior’s centers about the important of eye health and regular exams for screening of cataract, macular degeneration and glaucoma. In his spare time, Dr. Jivraj loves to run 10K marathons and has raised funds for the Fight for Sight Charity. Dr. Jivraj is also an active member of the Canadian Ismaili Eye Care Alliance.

Dr. Jivraj was selected to be the Eye Doctor for the Pan Am Games 2015, not only giving him an incredible opportunity to provide quality eye care to the word’s best athletes but also to educate them on the importance of regular eye exams.

DR. Lillian Rieck

Dr. Lillian Rieck grew up in the Calgary area. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo. Through her externships in Olds and Victoria in addition to an internship at a Veteran’s Affairs hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma she gained knowledge and experience in the management of ocular disease.

Dr. Rieck enjoys all aspects of eye care and has a special interest in sports vision including visually impaired Para sport athletes and visual rehabilitation post-concussion. She was the lead volunteer at the 2015 Parapan Am Games in visual impairment classification. Outside of optometry, Dr. Rieck is passionate about figure skating and has won 2 medals at the World Synchronized Skating Championships.

Dr. Susan Wong was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. During her training, she completed clinical externships in Calgary and Houston, Texas, giving her valuable experience in ocular disease management.

Dr. Wong enjoys all facets of eye care and is particularly interested in pediatrics, contact lens care and ocular disease. She strives to provide quality care to all her patients through comprehensive examinations and patient education. She is also able to provide exams in Cantonese.
